Countdown to back to school

back to home

As we get closer to the end of our fun summer days, this means the welcome back to the new school year.  We are gearing up to start shopping for our littles ones, from school supplies, backpacks, lunch bags, clothing and more.  Here is my guide to hassle free  new school year essentials that are not only great for your kids but wallet friendly.

1. Backpacks and lunch bags

Where to start? I think it all rolls down to what your kid’s like, from simple colorful design to super heroes or princesses backpacks.  Some of these will be found at Target, which is my favorite one stop shop for all my back to school supplies. Very popular designs are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Frozen or Despicable Me Minions, which all are with the 25% off this week. (Prices starts at $9,99.) Check out your favorites at www.target.com

Now, if you are looking for unique and personalized designs Pottery Barn kids is the perfect shop for you.  Their backpacks and lunch bags are so well made that my son is still using his Darth Vader backpack this year (this means 2 years in a row).  Pick your favorite at www.potterybarnkids.com

2. Back to school essentials

As I mentioned earlier, Target is my top choice to get all your need to start your school year.  I just stopped by this past Saturday and purchase my son’s school list for under $40, from crayons, markers, pencils, folders, notebooks and more. A great deal for your wallet.

3. Personalized Back-to-school labels

Nothing better than awesome personalized name labels for all your school supplies. Here are some links to my favorite free printable:

4. Get the homework space ready

It is so important to create that space where our little ones will spend time learning,  building their creativity and completing activities and homework;  a clean organized desk will do the trick.  Of course, personalized with fun designs, supply caddy, lamp and more. Here is a nice simple idea.
